What a GREAT week! I was able to help a buyer close on a BRAND NEW home in Bellingham. Thankfully, we were able to take a look at the home RIGHT AWAY & submit an offer that night so she didn’t miss out. We are had a quick close of less than a month.
I also was able to help my seller sell a GORGEOUS pre-sale, unlisted property. We have been pending ever since the start of the building process.

Earth Day is coming up this Sunday April 22, 2018. It is suppose to be sunny! It feels like Spring might finally be here! I’m not sure what your usual Earth Day celebrations include- if you do anything! I know some people try to get some “Spring Cleaning” & recycling completed, others try to work out in the yard or garden or even just enjoy being outside! I get asked a lot, “How much does it cost to buy a home?”. The two main costs you will want to budget when purchasing a home is how much of a Down Payment your are going to have and how much your closing costs will be.
As always, it’s so important to talk openly with your lender & real estate agent to figure out the best options for you! This is just a informational piece to let you know what goes into closing costs. I always say, estimate about 3% for closing costs. If you don’t have the cash, your Real Estate agent can always submit it in the offer that the seller will cover a $ amount or % to help you out. You can also talk with your lender to see if there are different loan options for less of a down payment or down payment assistance program so that you can save your cash for closing.
